Grass Snake

This is a picture of a grass snake taken at Top Hill Low Nature Reserve, nr Watton in East Yorkshire. It was very approachable as it wasn't quite warm enough for it to be active although it was sitting in what sun there was.

I didn't know they'd woken up yet, Paul. We saw our first last year after years of looking. We still haven't yet seen an adder - despite again, much diligent searching.
