Zen-Ray Sedona or some maybe a new one?
Hi,
the Zen-Ed seem to be a really nice bin, but how is it with the spotting scopes from Zen? Is the Sedona any good, and do you think they will start to compete on the scope market too?

This is one area I wish I had some experience with. I have yet to try the Sedona though I think I might order one for and evaluate it. My usual suggestion recently for a fairly inexpensive scope is the "No badge" Vortex Nomad 80 mm that is being sold at Cameralandny for $200. Excellent optical performance (sharpness, edge sharpness, color representation, etc...). It is bright but not exceptionally bright and CA is fairly well controlled except at the highest magnifications.
Sorry I could not help more. |
