Talking Yay, Rufous!

Just saw a male rufous at the feeder and I am soooo excited!

We don't get very many up my road and my neighbor usually "steals" them all with her feeder and I wind up with all Caliope.....well this year, I put out the food nice and early in hopes of stealing some of her males .....looks like it may have worked!

Lucky you: all I've had so far this spring at my Reno feeders are Black-chins. For sheer beauty IMO the male Rufous can't be beat!

Thanks! I just love that hummingbird. He is so pretty.....need to go out and change the food so that he sticks around! :-)

guess I'm quite lucky. I get them all summer. was just watching one doing display flights in the backyard this evening. good on ya.
