Any tips for Huancayo (and Satipo Road)?
We are heading out from Lima to Huancayo in 2 days and our research turned up some tantalizing info about good birding on Satipo Road.
Does anyone have any tips on going birding up there for birders who are not part of a tour group? For instance, how to get out from Huancayo, places to stay, good sites to bird in the area, etc. We have plenty of time on our hands so we'll probably find lots of birds on our own, but it'd be great to get some tips from someone who's done it already. Thanks!
