The first Little Tern eggs hatched during the week, the number of nests has surpassed last years total, some excellent nest camera pics have been uploaded & there was another sighting of Buff-breasted Sandpiper!

The first Little Tern chicks fledged successfully yesterday & we're now up to 80 pairs!

checked all around ballymascanlon bay reedbeds - one juv lapwing, no reed warblers, otherwise generally quiet.
