Getting Fat!
Anyone else notice how much weight our little darlings are putting on? It's almost time for them to head south. It's going to be a long winter without them. :(

Yes, I am really sad that they will be gone soon. Wish I had put name tags on all my birds so I could tell them apart. I don't think any of these birds are the ones that have been around here in S. Arkansas all summer. Still have 10 + birds.

no skinny birds around here either
I do get some who overwinter tho. Last year one Anna's and a pair of Rufous. It is a little guy in the pic, a juvenile whose mum dropped him off here. He has been my lonely dawn chorus all August tho another will come by once in a while. He frequently sits in a tree and sings for a while throughout the day. |
