Monroe & Sibley 1993 lists S (h) hypoleucus Xantus's Murrelet and S (h) scrippsi Scripps's Murrelet as possible species.

Scripps’s Murrelet:
Does the citation for scrippsi — Green & Arnold, 1939 — get parentheses?
AOU 1998 and the H&M 2003 Checklist don't agree on this.
