Will my tripod hold up a 50-500mm F4.5-6.3 APO DG OS HSM?
Hi All,
I was wondering if my Manfrotto 055MF3 can handle the weight of a "50-500mm F4.5-6.3 APO DG OS HSM". Thank You,

It should be fine .
I think the key is finding the lenses balance point . To me the old style mounts seem more stable than a ballhead for heavy gear .Longer axis levers , easier to select pan or pitch .
