Goldcrests feed mainly on small Spiders/Insects, so you can't really get a feeder for them. However, they do eat Peanut Butter (See attached pics from my garden), and will also occasionally visit Fatball Feeders. The problem is (IME) that you can't really attract them into your garden; you need the right habitat that they prefer; Conifer Trees seem to be a favourite of theirs.

We were lucky to have a goldcrest most of last winter and the one before, but as Chris says, you can't really attract them, they just turn up, especially if the weather's bad. Here's a bit of film of ours taking bits of suet, some I had put in a small Scots pine growing in a pot! http://vimeo.com/18947348

I have Goldcrests year round in my garden, but I can only remember them visiting the feeders one winter. On that occasion they were attracted to a suet 'cake', but that seemed to be a one off and I have never seen them at my feeding stations since (even during the last two winters).

I saw a goldcrest almost everyday last winter. It loved the RSPB insect fat cake - I hung it under a conifer tree in a slightly shaded place and everyday I saw goldcrests and blackcaps feast on it. I was surprised really, because before that I had only seen a goldcrest once in my garden.
