Florida Snake Id.
Can anyone id. this snake for me? I believe that is a water snake but that's all I can say about it. The shots were taken on a dock in central Florida and the first time that I saw it, it slipped into the water.
Thanks! |

Hi Dan, looks like brown water snake (Nerodia taxispilota) Get the "bad rap"often. Have disposition of "yosemite sam". Quite harmless, along as not handeled.FWIW,no documented fatality for copperhead, believe same for cottonmouth.
