Lucky you!
I think of them when I see the flowering quince buds swelling in the garden.
The wild currant is their first wild flower here. Rufous always arrive here when that currant is just starting to bloom in the beginning of March.

Hummingbird migration

Spring is coming! It is so exciting to here about the first Rufous sighting. You can find a Hummingbird Migration map for 2011 to get an idea when they will be coming to your area this year at Hummingbird Guide.com http://www.hummingbird-guide.com/hum...ring-2011.html. There is also an Interactive Spring 2012 hummingbird Migration Map there also. So you post this years' sightings there. http://www.hummingbird-guide.com/hum...migration.html
