Damselfly from Bhutan
Disappointingly I only found one damselfly in 3 weeks... possibly because the weather was unseasonably cold and wet in April 2012.
This was found in a boggy area in a forest with some streams nearby, but no pond or lake in the immediate vicinity. |

It seems likely to be an Indolestes species, of which only I. cyaneus seems to feature on the lists of species recorded from Bhutan which I can find.
Unfortunately there don't seem to be many good photos of female Indolestes online (and if there were, they would be no guarantee that they were correctly identified and labelled!). |
