I am overjoyed to be able to get a lifer on the last day of 2011. My lifer #266 is the Little-ringed Plover. This specie is supposed to be a common winter visitor/passage migrant but its occurence in Singapore is getting rarer.

My lifer #270 is the Asian Pied Starling - an escapee species that has yet to establish a feral population in Singapore.

Lifer #271 is also an escapee species - Citron-crested Cockatoo (which is the smallest of the Yellow-crested Cockatoo sub-species).

Lifer #272 is the Ashy Drongo (leucogenis sub-species) - a rare winter visitor to Singapore.

Lifer #273: Javan Pond Heron assuming breeding plummage. This species is presumably a rare winter visitor/passage migrant to Singapore. But its occurence in Singapore may not be that scarce as this species is indistinguishable from the more common Chinese Pond Heron when in non-breeding plummage. Only got a blocked image of this bird to share.

Lifer #276: Finally got a SG lifer in the month of March. It's a male Cinnamon Bittern. Had been trying high and low to find this presumably common resident breeder in the last 2 years but to no avail. Overjoyed to have finally nailed this fellow.
