Newt, Romania

Hi,
There were 100's of these immature newts in a small stream in the Carpathians (at approx 900m altitude) that I saw this weekend. They still had external gills... any idea about the species - perhaps alpine/montandons? There were no adults around sadly, although there must have been somewhere.

Dots/marbles on dorsal body. "Yellow" dots where legs come out of body.
