Raptor in NY.
This beauty perched outside our window for about fifteen minutes in Queens, NY, and did its best to devour one of the local squirrels. Any idea what sort of bird of prey it might be?
Should mention this was from today, 7/17. |

Hey, thanks a lot folks. Yup, from googlin' a bit more does indeed look like a red-tailed hawk. Not sure how common they are in Queens, but there's a few with their own blog sites in Manhattan apparently.
