Mid Wales Orchids

I shall be visiting the Elan Valley area of Mid Wales next weekend and would appreciate any suggestions regarding any sites where I might be able to photograph Orchids flowering at this time of year.
I have previously visited Ynyslas many years ago but cannot recall what the best time for a visit might be.
In addition to Orchids any sites for Butterflies or Dragonflies not common in South East England would also be of interest.

Any help or suggestions much appreciated - Thanks

Hi Eos 9. You could try Tregaron Bog for Dragonflies and Butterflies. I believe there's also some rare species of plants there to. Sorry I can't be more specific but I tend to go to that area for the drive and the birds. Y Talbot in Tregaron is a decent place to stop for lunch if you're in the area.
