Daylight view of bats

I'm used to seeing bats at night time, but they're normally just shadows against the twilight.

However, there was a bat, I imagine a pipistrelle, flying outside my window tonight in broad daylight. I've read that if seen during daylight then they may have been disturbed from their roost, but this one was actively hunting for insects (it's been a warm day, so lots around).

It's gone for the moment, but I did worry about it as it was flicking about when a gull game flying close by it.

But a great view!
