Picture upload problem

I'm on holiday at the moment, staying with my sister and using her wifi. Everything with Birdforum is OK, I can read all the posts and make comments in the Gallery, but just cannot upload a picture there.

The little circle thing just goes round and round until eventually I end with a white screen or a message to say that the connection was cut.

I know it can't be an issue with Birdforum, nor the Gallery, but can't think what I can try to sort it.

Oh and I know the file size etc is OK.

Hi Delia
I have a version of this problem at the moment (all be it with regards to uploading images to my blog hosted on blogger) I never found the cause but the solution for me was simple. I use Google Chrome now not Internet Explorer and it works fine - even trialed uploading same image to same blog post and it works in chrome but not IE.
May be worth trying just to see.
Have tried IE regularly over last ten days and still refuses to allow uploads.
Enjoy your hols and hope my ramble helps.

Hi Dom, thanks for your thoughts.

I've not used IE for years (Pale Moon (which is really Firefox) usually). I may give Google Chrome a go, but I've a feeling it may be my sister's router settings and she doesn't want anything changed!

what you could try as a gamble is deleting the internet cookies, these can be a real pain in the bum and can cause weird problems like making videos jump. It is a long shot but is worth a try.
