Sabah, Borneo PART 1 : Sepilok & RDC (1 Viewer)

Just back from Sabah and have quite a list of birds I don't recognise !

Would appreciate help over the following week with any insight - thanks !

I apologise in advance for the quality of these photos - that's why I can't ID them ;)

These birds were seen in Sepilok or the RDC :

1. Rufous Winged Philentoma ? Blue morph ? I've a couple more shots but there is no Rufous on this bird.
2. Crow Billed or Greater Racquet Tailed Drongo ? I didn't see the tail but then I read that most GRT Drongos don't have the racquet tails anyway.
3. Spectacled Bulbul ? The yellow eye-ring seems very strong.
4. Javan Myna - yes this would be a little unusual however that yellow eye-ring seems to rule out Crested and it's not a Common.. unless there is something else I've missed ?
5. My first thought was Minivet .. however that tail and the lack of stripes on the underwing seem to rule them out. Any thoughts ?

Thanks !
Kevin

Black-naped Monarch
Crow-billed
Yep
Maybe White-vented
Long-tailed Parakeet

Thanks Mark - first batch sorted. may I now point you in the direction of Parts 2 & 3 ? :t:

I'd put money on the drongo being Greater Racket-tailed. The absence of crest on Bornean birds is a trap for the unwary. Looks like a subad....

If this was taken recently it must be GRT as CBD is a northern winter migrant.

Thanks Dave. From what I've read that is my conclusion too (40% of GRT don't have the RTs). Thanks !
