Birding Record Website with photos and watercolours

Hi,

My main birding patch is at RSPB Loch of Strathbeg in North East Scotland.

I am fairly new to birding and for each new bird seen I try and take a video from which I grab a jpeg image.

The Loch of Strathbeg is a large expanse of water and birds are normally a long way out, even with digiscoping. I have therefore started to replicate my photos in watercolour paintings, particularly long distance shots.

Additionally, I have created a draft website to display my bird records in photos and watercolours. You can see my draft webpage on the link below.

http://scotview.weebly.com/

Please feel free to comment !!

I have also attached a photo and my latest painting of a Spotted Sandpiper which turned up in my local area.

latest instalment - Baranacle Goose

The latest painting and photo has been uploaded to my draft website - the subject is Barnacle Goose and it is recorded under "migrant".

Photos attached below. This seems to be a good way to preserve my photo/video records and painting the watercolours adds an enjoyable angle to my birding records.

Short-eared Owl

Latest painting shows a Kestrel being harassed by a Short-eared owl. This video/photo was taken in January 2012 and recorded the Owl losing patience with the Kestrel which was stealing it's prey.
Website updated, located under migrant. Short-eared owls put in an appearance at Strathbeg over the winter.
