Do IS binoculars learn?

Do IS binoculars learn, and if not why not?

Astro mounts have learnt to compensate for periodic errors for many years.
They give maybe 5 to 10 times better accuracy, learning over time.

I ask because an 8x25 IS seemed confused and wandered when very well braced, but when held normally after about 2 seconds it worked well.

Why can't these binoculars learn to correct user's hand tremors maybe rather quickly?
