Anyone recognize these Kowas?

I picked them up used a few years ago for car duty and they have served me well but I was wondering if anyone knows anything more about them than from what I can see right on the binos. I know Lupinus is a subsidiary of Kowa but these seem pretty high end for a promotional product/gift.

Hi,

interesting model - especially with the SLC 8x30 style front focuser it should be easy to recognize but my google-fu didn't turn up anything useful besides this:

PS: there's some old japanese porros labelled with that lupinus logo around, so the trademark seems to have been used for binoculars too some years ago...

PPS: How's the view?

The image is very good to my unrefined eyes, noticeably better than various porro and roof prism Tasco and Bushnell binos I have used over the years, but not nearly as good as the set of ELs I borrowed haha.

I do hate the eye cups, the ELs were much better of course. I just got a pair of Vanguard Endeavor EDs tonight, so I haven't had a chance to compare them yet, but the eye cups on the EDs are much better too, EL quality.
