Nikon 300mm f4 PF

My main lens used with my D500 was a Nikon 300mm f2.8 VR1 used with and without TC's (TC-14e iii and TC-17e ) I love this lens but it tends to get heavy whilst out walking, I carried it for 10 miles last time I was out and my should was killing . Anyway thought I'd give the 300mm f4 PF a try as a light alternative whilst out walking .
Must admit I'm really liking it , the thing is so light going for a few miles is no longer a problem. Focus isn't as fast as the f2.8 but its not bad at all .

Just to give an idea how the focus is it grabbed onto this Dragonfly no problem with the TC-14e iii fitted

Other shots are bare 300mm PF wide open.

I have the same rig. Optically first-rate (with or without the TC14EIII) and a perfect walking-around combo.
