Current Japanese made 7x35?

Is there any 7x35 that is currently in production and made in Japan? I am looking for a 7x35 for my young niece but am hesitant about the Chinese models I have looked at due to the wobbly eyepiece bridges.

Robert,

The Nikon Action 7X35 has a great centerfield and is highly rated for an inexpensive porro.

I do to, but I looked at a pair just this morning and it showed more play in the focussing parts that I would be alright with. She would no doubt forget to put the eyepieces all the way in when she cases them and after time they might become trouble. I was thinking something from a factory with better QC and tolerances would fare better.

Robert,

I picked up a second pair of the Nikon E 7x35 that I might be willing to part with. I am unsure how the eyepiece bridge would rate. Maybe John or one of the other Nikon buffs could comment further.

Frank, if I remember the field of view in the E series 7x was narrow for the magnification. How wide is yours listed at?

Weight: 21.5 ounces
Size: 4.7 inches x 7.1 inches.

Yep, Kellner eyepieces leave me wanting, so I won't ask you to part with your toy.

The offer still stands if you change your mind. Great bino but I don't need two of them. The price was just too much to resist buying a second though.
