Can anyone help with these Mammals

The first taken in the Canadian Rockies near Banff
The second in the Alberta Plains near Calgary
The last in Washington state (east of cascades)

Thanks

Red Squirrel, Ground Squirrel or Prairie dog (not sure of variety) and Chipmonk (Yellow-pine?).

The second photo looks like Columbian Ground Squirrel (but range would be in the Rockies). Since this was taken in the plains, it should be Richardson's Ground Squirrel.

True. The colour is a bit like a Columbian but it's a Richardsons. We were just on a nature hike in Weaselhead today and my wife commented on how the Riichardsons had a greenish tinge but in other places are more clay coloured.

There are some Franklin ground squirrel colonies in Dry Island Buffalo Jump in the lower area by the Red Deer River. They are so ugly they are comical and will come right over and take a snack from your hand.

Re Columbian ground squirrels: if you go into the high altitudes on the Eastern slopes, you'll see lots of overturned chunks of earth where the grizzlies dig out the hibernating Columbians. The quirkiest thing is the way they will eat the Columbian more or less whole but always leave the tail behind. Aways reminds me of humans eating a shrimp.
