1S50 or MM2?

Hi,
I'm new to this and would like to buy a scope on a small budget.

I have narrowed it down to Opticron MM2 or the IS50 - with a HDF eyepiece.

Any opinions on what would be the best option?

Reason I chose the smaller option is that I also do a lot of hill walking and would need a smaller portable scope.

Cheers

Rob

both good. the IS50 offers a little more magnification and is cheaper the MM2 a little lighter. At a similar price to the above with HDF is the Kowa 504ED £249

never looked through the Kowa though

Personally I'd go for an IS50 over a MM2... however I'd recommend looking at the IS60 too. It's a bit bigger and a bit more expensive than the IS50, but it is also a noticably better scope. For the money an IS scope with and HDF eyepeice will be hard to beat.
