Southern Hawker? (1 Viewer)

White*Kite

Forever delayed
Having looked at several threads on this particular board and also the excellent British Dragonfly Society website, I came to the conclusion that this was a Southern Hawker, Aeshna cyanaea. Can anyone confirm this or correct it? I discovered it in the front garden today and it was very obliging. We normally get lots of Emperors and Golden-ringed Dragonflies about (there's a pond nearby which hosts loads of other species too), but I've never noticed these ones before.

Many thanks in advance!
