Thanks Daniel for the heads up on Biodiversitas. Although most of the papers are of little interest to birders it's nice to see they've granted free access to older papers ( the Javan Warty Pig one was interesting )

Tricolored and Chestnut Munia

The conventional ranges listed for Tricolored Munia - even if ssp. rubonigra is included (as it is in the eBird/Clements taxonomy) - comes at most to Bihar, with nominate atricapilla of Chestnut Munia taking over to the east, in Bihar, Odisha, and further east through West Bengal etc.

But looking at eBird reports of Tricolored Munia with photographs:

https://ebird.org/map/trimun?neg=tr...mr=1-12&bmo=1&emo=12&yr=all&byr=1900&eyr=2019

... I see what look like obvious Tricoloreds, e.g. https://ebird.org/view/checklist/S58508376 from West Bengal and https://ebird.org/view/checklist/S25905283 from even further east in Bangladesh.

Are these introduced populations? Range extensions? Something more complicated?
