birdbaths

We saw a grackle drop poop from its beak into our birdbath. Anybody else ever witness this. Any ideas about why they do this?

Hello Amy and welcome to the forum on behalf of the staff and moderators. Some birds will take the poop and fecal sacs out of the nest in order to keep it clean. This might be what is happening here.
