A mate has asked me to post the question for him, he'd be grateful for any info and / or recommendations for places where raptor watching takes place in Thailand during March.

He's particularly interested in Oriental Honey Buzzards.

I think some counts are done from Khao Dinsor, but numbers are less impressive/effort lower than in October when there is a major focus on raptor migration here.

Andy,

March and honeybuzzards is far more impressive in Malaysia than Thailand, if you get the weather right, you can get up to 10,000 in a day, and at ridiculously close range too, as you wait at the lighthouse at Tanjung Tuan for the birds to come across from Sumatra, often arriving below eye-level only to thermal up less than 50 metres away at times then spiralling up and away.

People in Thailand told me October is very good for raptor migration.
Which month is better March or October ?
