Tackling birds in coloured pencil (1 Viewer)

Found lurking at the back of a drawer...

From probably the last time I used pencil crayons for birds, when I was still at school in '73! Bit of reinforcement /detail in black biro too - hey, mixed-media. Think you all deserve a laugh...

I had the same questions about the background...my first thought was how on earth that was done with colored pencils; I was really impressed! :-O I only get out of focus areas unintentionally! Photoshop makes total sense for an illustration piece.
