Tripod and remote shutter for Canon SX60 (1 Viewer)

Good morning, as per the title, I am considering to buy a tripod and a remote shutter for a camera, very likely I will buy Canon SX60
Perhaps I can buy a second hand tripod and shutter to save some money unless it is a bad idea
Any suggestions?
Thank you

A second-hand tripod would be a good idea but I would be very cautious about buying an electronic remote shutter release secondhand. These are small items often not cared for in the way that cameras and lenses are. Unless you can try a secondhand one out before buying it I would save up for a new one.

Buy the shutter release new, just to be sure, as Lee noted. Canon's is part #RS-60E3 according to my notes.

Tripod according to your needs and budget. I went with the Vanguard Alta Pro 263AT tripod and Manfrotto MH293D3-Q2 head. Though to be honest, I learned to shoot without the tripod in most circumstances, even at extreme range. But when I need one, the combo I have carries nice. You can see an older photos of my setup here.

Hello, thank you for your advice. I was busy this winter and I postponed the purchase
Now I'm back...
I found this one an outdated Manfrotto for 35 euros. I could offer like 25 or 30

I think I need a light, simple tripod useful for travelling and excursion
I am 1.83 cm tall so this one is probably not so big for my height but on the other hand I think it would be lighter and easier to carry

As for the shutter, following your advice I would buy a new one
I noticed there are both wired and wireless
What do you suggest?
I was thinking of buying one of these 2

The second one is wired, the first wireless
I also have been told that there is no actual need of Canon remotes in my case a good quality compatible clone could be cheaper and still sufficient
What do you think?
Thanks
