I expect my rubythroats will leave in two weeks from the Smoky Mountains.
Please use this thread to record the Goodbye Dates for the majority of your Hummers.

This year was not great for hummers or warblers in the Smokys. I hope that next spring brings loads of breeding pairs!

Resident Ruby-Throated hummingbirds left my New Jersey backyard around the 3rd week of September, but I continued to get 1-2 migrants for a few days since then. The last one I saw was two days ago (Oct 1st).

Mine are gone today, October 6, 2010 after a steady population decline over the last two weeks.

Anna's live year round here in northern Calif. Oh, I suppose some do migrate, but I always have nectar on my feeder throughout the winter months.
