I will be in the Springfield area in mid September. What are the chances of spotting a roadrunner and where might I find one?

Thanks Tero. Do you know exactly where there might be a reliable place to find them? I am originally from the Joplin area, so a day trip to the SW corner of MO is doable.

thanks

No, have not made the trip myself. The list servers have local sightings, but I have never seen Road Runner advertised for Missouri. It is one of those things like Pheasant that just comes up one day when you spend a lot of time.

You can send e mail to any of those people, some list the rare bird alerts, they might know.

My Roadrunner lifer was in New Mexico.
