3 Birds to confirm please taken march 2014 Bay of Islands NZ

1. Not sure they were a long way out Little Black Cormorant
2. This bird is well puffed up throwing me a bit
3. Little Shag

Don't know about the cormorants spp., but the second bird appears to be a female House Sparrow.

Agree with IDs. Is it normal for Little Pied to have black underparts in New Zealand?

Yes, quite strange if you know them in Australia, but they are quite common in NZ with black underparts, this being race brevirostris
