Juvenile Gull ID, Scotland UK

Is this a juvenile Herring Gull?

It looks more like a Herring Gull to me.

This complicates matters. I know that gull ID is difficult, especially juveniles. What differences should I be looking for between Lesser Black Backed and Herring juveniles?

They're a bit tricky. The tertials are quite a useful place to look. Herring should show notched edges to the tertials (a sort of wavy border between dark centre and pale edges):

I think your bird shows these, although not as clearly as some do.
Lesser Black-back usually shows a narrower and straigher pale edge to the tertials:

clear visible white primary tip crescents and shortish wings make this a juv hering gull. checkered GCs on whole visible bar support this ID.
