Swift Ultralite 762 Tripod Adaptor Question (1 Viewer)

Hi

I have recently acquired a pair of 10 x 42 Swift Ultralites (older porro model 762)
The bins are near mint and i am actually really enjoying these however i seem to have a problem in understanding how the spring loaded tripod adaptor works ? doh !
I can screw the tripod adaptor into the spring loaded hole but even when fully tightened the bins still move slightly
I am maybe having a weak brain day with this but do i just need to add some kind of rubber bush to take up the gap ?

Thanks
Regards
RichT
