Crete in late August (1 Viewer)

The family (including me) has decided on a trip to Crete in late August this year. Most of the time will be family oriented, but hopefully, I will have a little time for birds as well, and the question is where to go on the island. My wish list probably centers on warblers and buntings (and they will probably have stopped singing :-C ) but also Black Vulture, Eastern Imperial Eagle, and Eleonora's Falcon would be good species for me.

Also, are there any subspecies from Crete (of any bird species) that I should keep an eye out for as future potential splits?

thanks
Niels
