The Nikon HGL 8x20s are good and they are what my wife uses. They are rather smaller than the Swarovski 8x25 so may not feel as comfortable in the hand.
Yesterday at the Birdfair I tried the Hawke 8x25, their top of the range model and was reasonably impressed, I think they are around the £200 mark.
Camera Land in NYC lists the 3 8x20s in the "Crystal Series:" "Aida," "Tosca" and "Idomenco" as special order binoculars. They cost more than the discontinued 8x20s did.
If in good condition, they are an excellent 8x20. My wife has used one for over 10 yrs. with no complaints. If you are far sighted and wear glasses, however, the eye relief may be inadequate. Myopes like my wife are OK with them.
