Photos of Blue-winged Pitta, Singapore Botanic Gardens (1 Viewer)

Hi All,

I'm just back in the UK from a quick trip to Singapore and Sydney.

There has been a fantastically showy Blue-winged Pitta over-wintering in the Singapore Botanic gardens that I was lucky enough to get a pile of photos of. I've never seen a pitta this well before - a real "never to be forgotten" birding morning.

For anyone interested there's a short write-up and ten photos at http://www.charliesbirdblog.com/~charlie/bwpitta_SIN24feb06/bwpitta_SIN24feb06.html

Cheers

Charlie

Absolutely stunning photos Charlie, of a stunning bird! In Malaysia next month so if it lingers until then I may pop down for the day! Though I guess it could well be off soon, I saw them in central Thailand by the end of March last year.
