Dowitcher, Anchorage, Potter Marsh, AK USA (1 Viewer)

I have called this a Short-billed Dowitcher but am not overly confident. I noticed this bird because a Black-billed Magpie was apparently conducting a nest raid in the marsh. The breeding range of the Long-billed Dowitcher is shown as being farther north in Alaska. Confirmation of the ID would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Charlie

I think they are pretty common there. I've seen them in years past, and my ABA Guide to Alaska lists them as being there.
