White Wagtail Rings (1 Viewer)

A heavily ringed White Wagtail turned up in the garden yesterday. I think it was the true form Montacilla alba (winter), because of the lack of a black 'bib', which is consistent with the 'Pied Wagtail' (variant varellii. A 'close up' shot of the rings are to follow. Suspect this bird was ringed in the Mediterranean region, but need confirmation. Oops,,, just noticed there is no img tag. Oh well,,, mission aborted.

Have you made a note of the colours. Its more than likely one from Weymouth or Abbotsbury. drop me a pm with the details, dennis will probably just forward onto us in weymouth.
