"Don't Move!" by Marc A. Barger (1 Viewer)

Here's my newest piece. Male Eastern Bluebird. Basswood and acrylics. Base is a piece of Buckeye burl. Branch is also carved and I covered it with some lichen to give it some contrast and interest. There's also a little fella being very careful not to move and become the Bluebird's next meal!

That's brilliant Marc!
You are SO lucky to be able to produce such works of art...I've often seen wood carvings in magazines and it looks incredibly hard to do. I think I'll stick to my sketching....I can just about get to grips with that LOL
