Falcon, Cuenca, Central Spain (1 Viewer)

Yesterday I found this falcon near home. There has been a heavy influx of red-footed falcon (a rare species in this area) during the month of may, with some nearby (100 km) records. On the other hand, my area receives a number of Eleanora's falcon, arriving usually around 15th june and leaving a month later. In this period is easy to see them.

When I first spotted this dark falcon I thought I've been lucky enough to come across a red-footed (never seen one before). As I looked more and more, my opinion changed to an early Eleonora dark morph (is what I think now): very dark underwing coverts and longish wings than tail, and lack of some of the coulour pattern of male red-footed pointing towards Eleanora

It rested perched all time (I'm used to typical Eleanora way of flying)

Back at home a look at Raptors guide and a photo of a flying transitional male 2cy red-footed left me with some doubts.

I'd like to hear your ID opinions

(I've to say thay I'm colour-blind, so I may be missing some red info in the lower part of the animal ;-) )
