P900 replacement rumor (2 Viewers)

It looks like the patent images do show a 24-500 DL

Wonder if they have tried to salvage some RD costs by using most of it for the P900 replacement, it was said the DL was dropped due to circuit board over heating, if this was caused by 4k on a 1 inch sensor maybe its not a problem on a smaller sensor.

A belated happy third birthday to the Nikon P900. It was announced on March 2nd, 2015. Seems like yesterday!

I was hoping Nikon would have an announcement for a replacement around the anniversary time but that did not happen.

At least the P900 is still a more current model than the Canon SX60. The Canon was announced September, 2014. It surprising to me that Canon has gone this long with no replacement, especially considering Nikon came out with the P900 with the larger zoom after the SX60. Canon has traditionally announced the their SX super zoom in September so we shall see if they have anything to say in about 4 to 5 months.

Any new rumors?
