8th May - Aldcliffe, Lancaster. News of an overshooting Woodchat Shrike at Aldcliffe, was definitely worth getting drenched for.

28th October - A two day break to North Norfolk,

138) Hen Harrier - 1 male seen flying at the side of the road whilst we were stuck in traffic in Cambridgeshire a great start to the trip!
139) Rough-legged Buzzard - 1 at Holkham Pines
140) Firecrest - 2 at Holkham in a small tree by the path really close views
141) Velvet Scoter - 1 male at Holkam Gap and 4 females
142) Common Scoter - 1 male and many females
143) Red-throated Diver - 1 ad winter
144) Surf Scoter - 1 ad male, clear white patch on nape; a great few minutes for Scoters.
145) Brent Goose
146) Bearded Tit - 3 seen at RSPB Titchwell
147) Grey Plover - 2
148) Sanderling - 8 on the beach at Titchwell
149) Slavonian Grebe - 2 ad.winters on the coast at Titchwell, rounded off a really good day and 87 species recorded.
