Camera 4k alternatives for Swarovski 95mm with pivot bracket? (1 Viewer)

Hi,

Having a Swarovski 95mm scope, and a pivot bracket (ATX + DCB II), I am searching for a camera good at video (4K).

No video camera seems to work (too much vignetting).

Compact cameras with fixed optics and 4K are few, and I haven't found any working yet, without vignetting, even when using the zoom (drawback for the DCB II is the short length available for an expanding zoom lens, hitting the scope eye piece)

Seems that a compact system camera is the only choice.
I have tested the Lumix Gx7 (4K not possible) with a standard 20mm lens, and it works without vignetting!!
So, I am now waiting for the Lumix G7 (with 4k) to be available for testing with my scope setup, and with a 20mm lens (or any alike not giving vingetting; short zoom sould be nice, but space only about 35mm for the lens!).

1) Any one having a set up (with 4K?) working with a pivot bracket?

2) As I am mostly a birdwatcher, I don't want to block the scope with a TLS APO. And with TLS APO (without camera lens), I guess you can't take advantage of the optic stabilizer. Especially important with a spotting scope(?).
I have no experince of system cameras, so what lens should I go for concerning optic stabilization? I guess power O.I.S is the best stabilizer currently?

Hopefully someone have some experience or guide lines in the matter!

Gustav,
I've been shooting 4k on the STX95 for over one year. Mostly using the 20/1.7 lens on the GH4 in the early months. This is the best lens for close up digiscoping. Many people have switched to the Digidapter which is extendable and will take longer lenses. It's more rigid than the DCB11 too. I'm using it with the Lumix Leica 25/1.4 mm lens which is an excellent lens with faster AF than the 20/1.7 and better for long distance digiscoping - over 50 metres.
The Sigma 30/2.8 is also a very sharp lens but can be too much magnification. Don't forget in 4k video mode there is an additional 1.2x crop.
Neil.
