Older Opticron not GA/ED - HR66 +28 HDF ? (1 Viewer)

Hello there, Just like to say that as this is my first attempt at contributing to the Birdforum pages, which until now I've enjoyed reading.
I have been a binocular user for some time and am now venturing into the 'scope territory.
To keep initial costs low I wish to combine an early (non-ED , non-GA ) version of the Opticron HR66 with a new 28 x HDF eyepiece.

I'd be pleased to hear from anyone with experience of this or similar combination or even general impressions / comments.

Thank you in advance for your replies.
