I took the new RX 100 M2 on safari to Botswana over the last two weeks. The main reason I wanted it was that I was enjoying the RX 100 but wanted a rotatable screen. As I only took a small tripod to Botswana it was useful when shooting low.
The quality of the upgraded sensor seems to be an improvement as well. At least 5% but maybe as much as 8% improvement.
The other advantage of the Sony is being able to shoot in Raw with very fast recovery time.
Here are a few shots taken with the RX 100 M2.
