External battery pack DIY (1 Viewer)

I am thinking of making up my own battery pack for a cp995.
Can anyone tell me at what voltage it needs to be set at?

The reason I ask is the manual says 8.4 volts and yet as I understand it Eagle eyes bat pac was set at 6 volts.

Or is it anything in between?

many thanks

peter
